In 2019, I founded Munchoes in my very own kitchen. I would say my inspiration to start a bakery began when I was just 9 years old watching Cake Boss, but we do not have any cakes here! During college when I was 19, I started to sell decorated sugar cookies for my friends and family. Then, 4 years later I ended my sugar cookie business after selling a whopping number of 3,000 cookies in just ONE Christmas season! To say the least, I needed a break!

I knew baking was a true passion of mine because my break only lasted one month! In my hometown, buttercream cookie sandwiches were not offered, so I had the urge to begin testing out recipes for this unique product. One of my friends lived in South Texas and wanted to try my NEW cookie recipe, but shipping did not work well due to the weather's lack of cooperation. 

This very moment was pivotal for my small business. This was the exact reason Cookie Sandwiches in a jar came to life! At the time, I had no idea I would have so much success with this product and the opportunities that this creation would bring. After 1 year of business, I knew I wanted to expand my product to a larger audience. Moreover, I knew I needed to have more to offer to my clientele. I began to reflect on what I used to make growing up, and remembered how big of a hit caramel apples were in my family. I also saw that there was not a designated place to purchase this sweet treat, so I took a leap and started making MY version of caramel apples. To say the least, they are far from boring and the freshest candy you will ever eat.

I never dreamt of my success coming from starting my bakery. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Finance Degree and I considered being a Financial Advisor. Post college I ended up taking a job outside of my degree and continued to bake from my own kitchen.

When people look at Munchoes, they do not see the struggles that I have had to overcome, nor do they see the immense amount of time that happens behind the scenes. Nothing about a bakery is handed to the baker without sacrifice. Trust me when I say this. I have built Munchoes up from blood, sweat, and tears and I am now going on my 9th YEAR of baking! There is absolutely nothing I am more proud of than the products I produce, and the people I get to meet along the way.  

Today, my team and I are able to offer Munchoes products nationwide, through organizational fundraising, and through wholesale accounts. Our team is constantly growing and we would LOVE to get to know more about you!
